What's the commission structure for the Bettersex affiliate program?
BetterSex affiliates enjoy the best commissions of any e-commerce site on the net today. Affiliates earn at least 20% on sales generated through their own links, plus a $1 reward for every new (unique) customer who registers on our site and makes a purchase (registrations are FREE to the customers.) Also, affiliates earn $5 for every new affiliate they refer to our program AND 5% of that affiliate's commissions. You earn commissions on all web sales made by your customers, and we have no time limit on how long you keep a customer. Your affiliate ID is attached to the customer log-in so the site will recognize them as your customer when they log in to make a purchase. We do not use cookies to retain affiliate information for each customer. (We sometimes feature special promotional rates higher than these so you can earn even more. The more product sales your links generate, the higher your commission rate will be.) 

How often do I get paid?
We pay commissions to affiliates monthly. The minimum to receive a check from us is $25 in commissions during a calendar month (if you earn less than $25, your commissions carry forward until you have earned the minimum for pay-out.) Commission checks for U.S. affiliates should be out to you approximately 2 weeks after the close of each calendar month. We do not currently offer electronic payment options .

Can I have multiple affiliate accounts?
Some webmasters prefer to have multiple affiliate accounts to track different promotions on their site. Our program supports custom campaigns within your account, so it's no longer necessary to maintain multiple affiliate accounts to run campaigns. If you need to set up multiple accounts, contact us at: affiliate@bettersex.com and we will help you set that up. Be advised that we cannot conglomerate sales across multiple affiliate accounts to meet your minimum for payout.

Do you pay for email addresses?
We offer a FREE registration on our site (this registration is required when they place an order.) The on-site FREE registration collects the customer's address for our email program, and their mailing address for catalog and package delivery, along with specific permission to email to the customer at their preferred address. You will be paid $1 for each unique new customer (not already registered on the site) who signs up through your affiliate links, if they make a purchase from us within 30 days of registering. Our program does not pay for email addresses alone.

My friend just ordered from bettersex.com and the commission isn't on my account? Where's the sale?
We synchronize sales data from the websites to our mainframe twice daily: at approximately 5 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon (Eastern time.) During that synch we will post all commissions earned on shipped merchandise and new customer/ approved new affiliate signups.

We post commissions on items as they are shipped out of the warehouse rather than at the time an order is placed, to prevent chargebacks to our affiliates: as soon as the merchandise leaves the warehouse, we credit your affiliate account with the commission. By doing that, you won't see chargebacks on your account for cancelled orders, bad credit card info, fraudulent orders, etc. We have collected the money for the order at the time we post the commission to your account.

When shipping orders, your affiliate account is credited for each item on the order individually, rather than for the whole order at once. That way, if your customer orders multiple items and one is on backorder or being shipped in a separate package, we don't hold your commissions any longer than necessary: we will credit your account for the items that ship, and then post the remaining commissions when the rest of the order ships.

Since new customer signups and referred webmaster commissions sales do not go through our package shipping system, those commissions will appear on your account with the next posting.

New webmaster referrals are paid after their site is reviewed and they are approved for our program. (We do not pay for referred webmasters whose applications are rejected.)

My weekend sales look "slow" - what's happening?
Except during high-volume holiday periods, our warehouse ships packages Monday through Friday, so, even though you may see some new customer signups hitting your commission report over the weekend, you won't see many merchandise shipments posted to your account. Web orders that come in over the weekend usually post in your Monday and Tuesday commissions, as the orders leave the warehouse. Over time you may notice an increase in your early-week sales because of this.

I have a very specific clientele on my website and need an offer that
you don't have listed. How can I get a promotion made for my site?
We are always looking for more promotional opportunities that will make our webmaster affiliates more successful. Contact us at affiliate@bettersex.com and we'll try to get a promotion that works for your site.

Can I use the HOT pictures from bettersex on my site?
We have many banners ready to go on your site, pre-populated with your affiliate link info, ready to go, and hosted on our servers. You may also save the banners to your drive and use any of our available affiliate links. Affiliates can use our product images on your site IF they are promoting the same item, AND they link back to BetterSex.com via your affiliate account. Do not use explicit images on any web page that is not behind some type of age check (see our Terms and Conditions for more details.) You may not use any BetterSex product images or logo for anything other than your affiliate links without permission, and NEVER for TGP, gallery pages or e-mails.

BetterSex offers our affiliates free picture content that can be used on your site, that's not included in our product catalog. These pictures must be used in combination with your affiliate links to BetterSex.com.

Can I use my affiliate links in email promotions?
Our Terms and Conditions for webmasters specifically prohibit using the BetterSex name or promotion of our products in email promotions. Violation of this will result in immediate removal from the program, and forfeiture of any outstanding affiliate commissions.

I'm about to launch a great new site that would be perfect for
BetterSex.com. Can I put up a link now?
We can only accept live sites into our affiliate program. If your site is "Under Construction" with no content in place, or your domain is not live, we cannot accept your application.
